For a new lawn
Turn over the top 10cm of soil and break up clods to produce a fine, weed-free surface. For best results, apply a 3cm layer of Scotts Lawn Builder Topdress Mix and rake over again
Determine the size of your area in square metres by multiplying the length by the width (1 large stride = 1 metre approx)
Shake the box well and apply approximately 2 handfuls (28g/m2) by moving backwards as you scatter the seed. Ensure the seed is evenly dispersed and lightly rake over
Deeply water the area using a soft spray and keep the area evenly moist until the seedlings reach 5-8cm tall
First mow when seedlings reach 8-10cm tall
After 3 months, fertilise the whole lawn with Scotts Lawn Builder All Purpose Slow Release Lawn Fertiliser
